"A new moon teaches gradualness and deliberation and how one gives birth to oneself slowly. Patience with small details makes perfect a large work, like the universe." - Rumi
The balsamic moon rules this weekend, so it’s a quiet and inward time. The new moon at 1° of Pisces happens on Monday at 2:06 am ET, so we have the opportunity to begin anew. A new beginning with a Pisces flavor.
We're at the very end of our dear Lady Moon's cycle. I don’t usually call her that, but when I do, it reminds me of when my kids were little. They called her Lady Moon. 🥰
At the balsamic moon, we go inside to see what’s happening.
We're reflecting not just on this past moon cycle but also on what’s important in our lives as a whole.
The moon's cycle is all about doing our soulful heart work while we’re down here in “earth school.“ And in each cycle, we get to rebirth ourselves and go through the whole mother, maiden crone, phase of our lives — in just 29 days.
At every new moon, we receive the invitation for a new beginning for our heart and soul “work.”
And if we truly honor our dear Luna and her cycle, our life becomes richer. We become more of who we're intended to be here in the cells and tissues of our body — in our hearts. 💗
Each moon cycle gives us the next teeny step. And we’re shown what that is at the new moon. To uncover the details, we have to go inside and listen to our hearts.
We start listening to those inner stirrings during the balsamic moon.
We're in that regenerative dark where what wants to be born is seeded. In other words, what’s the next step in our soul's growth and development?
I use the words soul and heart interchangeably because, in my mind, it works. I shared Rumi’s quote with you today because when you work with the moon cycle as I do with my community every day, we need to pay attention to those inner stirrings.
As we move through the weekend into the beginning of next week, consider what wants to be seeded in your life.
What’s the next little step for you?
Keep in mind it'll have a Pisces flavor.
Pisces is about feeling, sensitivity, compassion, creativity, and giving of one’s self selflessly. It's visionary, dreamy, artistic, and imaginative.
The shadow side of Pisces can show up as allowing ourselves to be a victim, escaping reality, or where we give too much of ourselves and choose to live in an illusion or a fantasy when it's actually destructive.
Find 1° of Pisces in your natal chart. That’s where the new beginnings are being seeded.
Saturn and his limitations.
Saturn is also next to this new moon, so we can feel some restrictions around the time of the new moon. Like we want to birth something, but there are limits and things in the way.
Here’s something for you to ponder.
How is Saturn here to help you with your next little “soul step” in your life?
Saturn gives us the discipline to create a structure so those seeds have longevity. With Saturn in this “new moon story," it can be an excellent time to commit to a grounded spiritual practice. That’s just one example. It depends where 1° of Pisces is in your natal chart.
We go through this monthly at the new moon workshop in the Luminary Parenting Community. If you want to know when the doors open the next time, get on the waitlist here, and you'll be the first to know.
I hope you enjoy some inward time this weekend. When you hear from me next we’ll be in the next moon cycle.
